BALL X PIT's Regal Update Adds New Balls, Characters, and New Mode - Available Now

Last year's indie hit from developer Kenny Sun and Friends and published by Devolver Digital, BALL X PIT receives its first major update since launch, and it is available right now.

In this update titled, The Regal Update, players can expect to control two new characters named the Falconer and Merriment Man. The Falconer fires two balls launched by a pair of birds on the sides of the screen, giving her attacks a wide, sweeping spread. Merriment Man is a troublesome member of medieval royalty who can twist the trajectories of the balls using a personal gravity field.

Along with the new characters, there are eight new balls being added to the game including a Fireworks ball which explodes and spreads damage in all directions, Stone ball that hits with the force of a truck but deteriorates upon each bounce, and Detachment ball which unleashes a wave of debris upon impact.

The final big addition to this update is a long requested one since launch - Endless Mode. Only unlocked after finishing the game, each level can now go one for as long as you can survive.

The Regal Update is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Why We're Excited

I have consistently hopped into the pit on a weekly basis since launch and I love the gameplay loop of BALL X PIT. The fact that we now have an endless mode to survive as much as possible sounds like a great time and new characters and balls to experiment with sounds like a great time. See you in the pit!
