One of 2025's Best Deckbuilders Monster Train 2 Getting Paid DLC On February 2nd

The developers Shiny Shoe and publisher Big Fan, a Devolver Digital publishing label, announced that Monster Train 2 is getting a massive piece of paid DLC on February 2nd called Destiny of the Railforged as well as a free content update for everyone who owns the base game.

In Destiny of the Railforged players can expect the following:

• An all-new game mode: Soul Savior mode aims to test players with attempting to wrestle powerful Souls from the clutches of the unstoppable Lifemother and her twisted children.

• Battle new bosses.

• Equip Souls that you free from bosses and earn powerful effects as you unlock additional souls for advanced meta progression.

• New enemies and playable forces.

The free content update for all players comes in the form of the Wurmkin Clan being added to all who own the base game. The paid DLC will launch on February 2nd for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $9.99 USD. The Nintendo Switch DLC will launch shortly after.

Why We're Excited

I remember Harry loving his preview of this at last year's PAX East, and I've been wanting to hop in since the launch of last year. The game also seems like a great chance to hop into the world of deckbuilders for novices and experts of the genre.
