Pardon My French Toast Demo Preview | Paine Grillé et Bonbons

Ah, breakfast. The most important meal of the day. A concept that many of us are familiar with. But no one has ever said that candy is part of a balanced breakfast. No one except the toasty protagonist of upcoming 3D platformer Pardon My French Toast from ReRolled Studio. In the game you play as a piece of toast who can spread sweets on his face in order to gain unique abilities.

The demo for the game allows you to try out a couple levels of the game and introduces players to a couple of Toast’s funny abilities. Your main goal is to collect all of the candy on each level. In the demo's first level, you’ll learn how to utilize Toast’s ability to spread honey on their face in order to stick to things and climb walls.

The controls for the game are a little clunky until you figure things out. For example, when holding onto a wall of honey comb, you may have to unstick and restick yourself quickly to make it across gaps. But mostly, the game has all of your classic 3D platformer elements, with its own unique toasty twists, of course.

The humor in the game was what really drew me in. There are many friends for Toast to meet along the way and many of them (and toast themself) are really funny. It reminded me of classic cartoons from my childhood and classic 3D platformers like Spyro the Dragon.

The Pardon My French Toast demo is available now on Steam and the full game is set to release later this year. Be sure to wishlist the game to be in the know for upcoming news.
