PowerWash Simulator 2 Demo Preview | I Need Work for Me and My Two Cats
Not to brag, but I’ve got over 100 hours in the first Powerwash Simulator. There’s something incredibly satisfying about cleaning filthy homes, vehicles and more using your trusty powerwashing equipment. Developer Futurlab is self-publishing the game this time around and, after enjoying each and every level in the main game and DLC of the first game, I am loyally and desperately excited to jump into PowerWash Simulator 2.
And that’s why, when the team launched a short demo for the game, I jumped right in.
In the PowerWash Simulator 2 demo, you have two levels that you can complete, the first is a truck from a company called Jessica which had me repeatedly saying, “It’s me…Jessica. I’m in here” while I was cleaning it. (If you know, you know). And the second level is more of a surprise. You’ll be cleaning a pop up bathroom. What does that mean? It’s a bathroom that starts off in the ground and pops up so that you can clean more of it and then finally opens up for you to clean the inside.
At first glance, there’s not too much that’s different in terms of the gameplay mechanics. You can try out two different powerwashers in the demo as well as a variety of different nozzles. Just like the first game, each nozzle uses a different level of pressure depending on what you need it for or what your preference is. For example, grime on windows might not come off with your regular nozzle so you may have to use your extra pressure nozzle to get that. You can also use the soap nozzle to get surfaces soapy to help with even more tough spots.
Something brand new to PowerWash Simulator 2 is the addition of your home base. This is where you find new jobs, as well as purchase furniture to decorate and pet your two cats. That’s right, there’s cats. Honestly the best part of any game. The decorations are an interesting part of the albeit probably unnecessary for a game about leaving your home to go and complete jobs, but perhaps in the full game there will be more reasons to visit your home base. Other than to pet the cats, of course.
And much like the first game, you’ll be getting text messages throughout your powerwashing jobs that will expand upon the story in the game. Most of it doesn’t make much sense, there are a lot of references to people you don’t know, but again this is only a snippet of what the final game will offer so you can expect to piece things together a bit more in the full launch.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is shaping up to be a fantastic sequel. I’m super excited to see what kind of DLC they’re able to unlock seeing as they’ve had some awesome ones in the past like Spongebob, Shrek, Tomb Raider and more. With some updated graphics, extra fun little secrets hidden in the levels and more, this will be one to wash, I mean, watch.
You can play the demo for PowerWash Simulator 2 now on Steam. Be sure to wishlist the game while you’re there.
