Pixel Rhythm RPG Away From Home Launches Next Week

Developer Squishy and Cameron Smith-Randick just announced that their rhythm-based RPG Away From Home is set to launch next week on October 27th, 2025. Dive into a vibrant pixel world with expressive animation and experience this world’s unique cast of characters.

In the game you play as Abby, a young girl accompanied by her brother Michael as they explore unfamiliar places, meet characters and make choices that can affect the game’s story. Your presence has caught the attention of something sinister so it’s up to you to either help the world survive or let it rot.

While exploring, Away From Home plays like Earthbound while missions and battles are rhythm games. The world is very large and open allowing players to progress side quests or participate in random town events if they choose. There are even routes that you can miss adding to the game's replayability.

Away From Home is set to launch next week on October 27th, 2025 for PC. You can also check out our interview with the devs about the game here.
