Upcoming Indie Games for May 2025
Every time we think that we might have a chill month to relax and catch up on the backlog, we’re smacked in the face by a month like May. We’ve got a packed month ahead of us, particularly RIGHT AWAY with loads of amazing titles coming May 1st and May 8th. This isn’t a comprehensive list of all the indie games on the way, but we’re super excited about some of these. Check it out!
Freeride (May 1st/ PC)
From Developer Flightlyfelon Games Inc. Freeride is a game where players will board a train to the Spirit World where they’ll meet some new friends, use telekinesis, find secrets and chart their own path. The Horror at Highrook (May 1st/ PC)
The Horror at Highrook is an occult card crafting narrative RPG. Players must explore a haunted mansion with their team of investigators and summon dark entities, craft powerful protections, uncover the fate of the missing family and choose their own path through the darkness. Shotgun Cop Man (May 1st/ PC, Nintendo Switch)
From the creator of My Friend Pedro comes Shotgun Cop Man, a ridiculous precision platformer where you use your shotguns to propel yourself to justice and glory. Despelote (May 1st/ PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S)
Despelote is a short slice-of-life adventure about childhood and the magical grip soccer held over the people of Quito, Ecuador in 2001. Get immersed in the streets and park of Quito through the eyes and ears of eight year old Julian. Creature Keeper (May 8th/ PC)
Creature Keeper is an action-adventure RPG where you befriend creatures and fight alongside them in real time. Explore a mysterious world and uncover the truth behind a strange sickness spreading across the land.

A charming, colorful adventure game from the creator of Katamari Damacy and the uvula team, To a T is about a teen navigating life in a small town with their cute dog companion. While their body is stuck in a T-pose, they do their best to make the most of it.
Kabuto Park (May 28th/ PC)
