The Beloved Moomin Universe To Get New Game, Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth

Over the weekend, developer Hyper Games announced a follow up to Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley titled Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth. The game is a new cozy, story-rich adventure set in Tove Jansson’s vivid and beloved Moomin universe. 

When Moomintroll unexpectedly wakes up early from his winter hibernation, he finds himself completely alone for the first time in a world he barely recognizes. The familiar landscape of Moominvalley is now cloaked in the frosty veil of the Lady of the Cold. Young Moomintroll embarks on a journey into the unknown, learning to forge new friendships and help those in greater need than himself.

While Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a spiritual successor to Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, you can play both games on their own in any order. You can wishlist the game on Steam now and look out for its release in 2026.
