Survive a Hidden Village Ruled by a Cult in Upcoming Survival Horror Cult of Blood

Independent studio Dusty Box just revealed its debut title, Cult of Blood, with an official announcement trailer. In the game, players drop into a village ruled by a blood cult and try to avoid becoming the final sacrifice in a priestess's ritual to ascend as a goddess. 

The trailer for the game teases fog-drenched streets, candlelit chambers and swampy ruins, blending cinematic cutscenes with desperate melee, scarce bullets and tense resource management. Cult of Blood is inspired by the likes of Resident Evil with classic-inspired tank controls and modern refinements for aiming and dodging. 

The story of the game follows a police officer sent to investigate unsettling reports, uncovering a village seemingly frozen in time and cut off from the outside world. The villagers are humans stripped of their souls and enslaved to the cult’s will. Players will be forced to decide whether to destroy the cult and its queen or succumb to its ritual.
