New Found Footage Horror Game Deadcam Heads to Steam June 23rd

Joure Visser, a developer behind 2023’s viral success Don’t Scream, is excited to announce his latest project, Deadcam. The 90s-inspired survival horror game invites players into a series of haunting encounters told through found footage recordings. Players can pick up the game in Early Access on June 23rd with a demo available starting next week as part of Steam’s Next Fest from June 9th-16th.

Deadcam plunges players into a nostalgic 90s analog aesthetic. By navigating through various found footage recordings, players will be able to engage in a collection of stories ranging from survival horror to psychological thrillers. Each episode is a self-contained narrative that must be completed before moving on to the next.

When the game launches into Early Access it will introduce players to the first encounter, an atmospheric J-Horror challenge set in an abandoned school. Four more encounters will be added during the Early Access period.

Deadcam is set to launch into Early Access on Steam June 23rd, 2025. The first file will offer around one hour of gameplay with three possible endings. You can try out the demo for the game starting June 9th on Steam and wishlist the game to stay up to date on future news.
