Mixed-Media Survival Horror Dead Format Lands on Steam Next Week

Solo developer Katanalevy and publisher Oro Interactive announced just a few days ago that Dead Format, the upcoming mixed-media survival horror game, is set to launch on Steam December 10th. 

Based in 1990s Scotland, Dead Format follows the search for a missing brother who vanishes after becoming obsessed with a mysterious new VHS format. As rumors spread of a government ban on so-called “Video Ghastlies”, players must journey through iconic eras of film. Step into tapes, fight through the world inspired by horror cinema and uncover the truth behind your brother’s disappearance. 

In the game, your apartment will serve as your safe place where you piece together clues, analyze tapes and get ready for your next step. Each VHS brings players to a new era of horror from Silent Era Cinema and Italian Giallo films to 80s Body Horror. 

Dead Format is set to launch on PC via Steam December 10th.
