Hollow Knight Composer Christopher Larkin Will Create the Moonlighter 2 Soundtrack

Music is part of what brings video games to life. They invoke emotion in the player and no one knows that better than the composer of Hollow Knight, Christopher Larkin. 11 bit studios and Digital Sun Games have just announced that Larkin will be providing the soundtrack to Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, crafting a journey that will leave players humming its melodies long after they’re done playing through this adventure. 

Moonlighter 2 is a successor to the indie gem from 2018 and this sequel continues to combine heart-pounding dungeon crawling with the delightful rhythm of shopkeeping, now set against a refreshed musical backdrop. Larkin’s approach to Moonlighter 2 leans into warmth and whimsy, channeling a more cheerful, colorful tone that fits the game’s lively world and characters. 

The game offers a bigger adventure that is bolder and brighter in every sense. It will feature lush 3D visuals that retain the charm of the original, new strategic inventory mechanics, expanded shop customization and loads of new weapons and merchant upgrades. 

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is set to launch on October 23rd, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with day one Game Pass availability.
