Hand-Drawn Bullet Hell ZOE Begone! Launches This September

Solo developer Retchy has just announced that their hand-drawn bullet hell arcade game ZOE Begone! heads to PC and consoles on September 17th, 2025. In the game you play as Zoe, a feist film-strip heroine who wants nothing more than to take a peaceful nap, but when the Animator starts scribbling chaos into her world she has no choice but to fight back. 

Inspired by 1930s animation, the works of Normal McLaren and the golden age of arcade shooters, ZOE Begone! blends classic shoot ‘em up design with modern, exciting action. In the game players will shoot, dash and point their way through the Animator’s creations with her trusty paintbrush and pen. 

Destroy the Animator’s tools, blast them to bits and collect Apples to spend on power-ups to reclaim your serene surroundings to help Zoe get the nap that she deserves. 

ZOE Begone! is set to launch on September 17th, 2025 for PC and consoles. You can wishlist the game on Steam now and check out the demo while you’re there!
