GlitchSPANKR Preview - Can't We Just Be Friends?

I love a bit of weird. Normal is so boring. No one is interested in someone totally normal, right? And that’s why I was drawn in by the weird and hilarious game, GlitchSPANKR. 

GlitchSPANKR is a comedy-driven narrative adventure game from TheClassifiedX. You play as a 12-year-old gamer in the 90s who snuck your Mom’s forbidden game, Big Booty Slapper 6, onto your bedroom PC. It becomes clear that there’s something very wrong when you book it up. There’s a virus at work, named Spunk who is trying to eat your game from the inside out! 

I got the chance to play the demo for GlitchSPANKR and had the best time, laughing out loud the entire time. The demo features a handful of different endings that you can find, hidden behind a variety of mini-games and secrets. At first, Spunk the virus will try his best to convince you not to slap him with your GlitchSPANKR antivirus software (a floppy pink hand on a stick), but it’s up to you whether or not you’ll listen. 

The more you explore, the more you’ll learn about Spunk and what his life has been like jumping from game to game, program to program, device to device. If you play the current version of the demo, you might just uncover a Dark Souls-type boss, a tower defense mini-game, a horror mini-game and much more. There’s a huge amount of time that’s gone into all of the details of this demo and it only scratches the surface of what will be available in the full game. 

The full version of the game will include customizable SpankSticks (there are a few you can find in the demo), rare loot, questionable trophies, multiple endings, branching pathways and much more. Spunk has got a wild ride ready for you.
