Genre-Blending Tactical Combat Game Death Howl Launches December 9th

Developer The Outer Zone, announced last week the release date for their upcoming emotional genre-blending tactical combat game Death Howl. Death Howl launches for PC on December 9th, 2025 with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch version in development for 2026. 

Blending beloved mechanics into something all its own, Death Howl is a genre-defying soulslike deck builder that tells the story of Ro, a mother from a shamanic tribe, who refuses to accept the loss of her child. In a desperate act, she descends into the spirit world to fight for a second chance.

In Death Howl, defeat is not the end of things. Resting revives fallen foes, but is also crucial to your progress. The game features tactical, grid-based combat, deck building systems and action-RPG exploration across eerie, hostile biomes. 

Death Howl launches on December 9th, 2025. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam and look out for its console release in 2026.
