Cozy Anime-Inspired Life Sim Starsand Island Gets February 2026 Release Date

Developer Seed lab announced today that its cozy anime-inspired life sim Starsand Island, is set to launch for PC and consoles on February 1st, 2026. To celebrate and prepare the game for launch, the team will soon be hosting a closed alpha test which will invite players to experience the game for the first time.

In Starsand Island, players embark on a journey of personal healing as they escape busy city life and return to the island of their childhood. Players will farm, fish, raise animals and explore the island’s mysterious and ancient ruins, all while building connections with the locals. Players will also be able to build the home of their dreams with the game’s extensive construction system.

Customize your character with the game’s customization menu allowing players to choose between a wide range of facial features, skin tones, makeup and hairstyles while also choosing from a vast wardrobe of outfits and accessories. 

Starsand Island will launch on February 1st, 2026. A closed alpha test will open soon as well as a demo that will be available during October’s Steam Next Fest taking place the 13th through the 20th. Be sure to wishlist the game on Steam to be the first to be notified on future news.
