Become Part of the Animal Evolution in the Everything is Crab Playtest Available Now

Odd Dreams Digital has just launched the playtest for its upcoming debut title, Everything is Crab. In the game, you start as an amorphous blob and eventually evolve over 100 times into weird and wonderful creatures based on real-life animals.

In Everything is Crab, you’ll experience a day and night cycle with a range of biomes from arctic snow to red rock desert. Watch out for bosses and dodge their attacks while you wait for an opening, before nipping away at their health bar while chitin around them. Adapt and survive in harsh conditions or risk losing your life.

Be reborn with new genetic traits earned through (un)successful runs, fiddle with the difficulty settings to see how far you’ve really evolved. Complete challenge scenarios, like surviving the Ice Age, to push your skills to the limit and prove you’re the king of the animal kingdom. 

Everything is Crab is the first game from indie studio Odd Dreams Digital and is set to launch in full sometime in 2026. You can jump into the free playtest now to try out the game for yourself.
