Action Roguelite Katanaut to Announce Big News at FGS

Voidmaw LLC has just announced that the action roguelite Katanaut will be participating in the upcoming Future Games Show Live from Gamescom 2025. Katanaut is inspired by both metroidvanias and 2D action-platformers and has players testing their skills as they battle through hordes of enemies to uncover what went wrong in a massive space station.

In the game you’ll be armed with melee weapons, guns and magic-like abilities while you face a gauntlet of evolving horrors. The deeper you descend into the station, the environments become more haunting and the enemies less human. 

You’ll have to use strategy and quick reflexes as you experiment with wild combos or the perfect build to match your preferred playstyle. Every death offers a new puzzle to solve.

Katanaut has a demo available now on Steam where you can also wishlist the game now. Look out for their big announcements during the Future Games Show on August 20th, at 2PM EST.
